Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium ground breaking ceremony

His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa will preside over the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Cricket Ground at Jafuta Estate in Victoria Falls.  Zimbabwe Cricket partnered with the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry on plans and was allocated 10 hectares of land to develop an eco-friendly 10 000-seater multi-purpose stadium and ancillary facilities in the Masuwe Special Economic Zone for Tourism in Victoria Falls.  The new facility, to be formally known as the Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium, will fit in with the surrounding environment as it will blend into the forest and connect with the context of the resort town.  The Stadium will be used in the hosting of the 2026 and 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup jointly with South Africa and Namibia. The project includes the construction of the playing field, nets, scoreboards, media centre, changing rooms, hospitality facilities, grandstand and other spectator areas.
