President launches Zimbabwe’s COVID-19 Documentary
On the 2nd of March 2023, His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa officially launched the Zimbabwe COVID- 19 documentary titled “Fighting The Wave: How A Nation United to fight The Covid 19 Pandemic at Rainbow Towers, Harare.
The documentary tells the Zimbabwean story of how the Government developed a comprehensive COVID 19 National Preparedness and Response Strategic Plan to minimise the negative impacts and reduce the risks of COVID 19. While addressing the congregation, President Mnangagwa said “The title of the documentary underscores that unity, harmony, love and focus are critical pillars for a people to over come challenges as well as realise national aspirations and sustainable development “.
The President further praised Zimbabweans for their resilience and determination to overcome the social, economic and psychological challenges associated with the COVID 19 pandemic. He also asked the nation to remain vigilant as the COVID 19 virus is still with us.
